What Parents (and students!) Say
"We've been so happy with how the year has gone! We've tried multiple curriculums unsuccessfully and this is the first thing we've done that's working!"
-Mom of Spanish 1 student
"I'm thrilled! She's learning and building confidence which is all we can ask for."

“The class is easy to follow along…the work is cumulative so we are always building on existing knowledge. I love Miss Rebecca's fun personality that makes the class time enjoyable.”

"I've been pleasantly surprised that I could learn so much about a foreign language in just two years. Learning another language always felt like such a daunting task, but you made it possible for me and so many others. Thank you."

"Rebecca has been such a blessing to us.
When my husband and I started talking to our daughter about doing Spanish last summer, she was very opposed to it, and we had to pull the parent card.
She came around reluctantly after that, and even got excited about the prospects. She loved how the books looked, and by the time the first class rolled around she was ready.
She has taken it seriously and has done really well this year. She is excited about doing Spanish 2 next year. Thank you for offering these fun and engaging Spanish classes!"

"I’ve been so pleased with the level of content, instruction and gained comprehension in these classes. I’ve looked for years for solid Spanish curriculum for use in homeschooling our kids. I’ve tried several programs and have been very disappointed. I’m so happy our kids have a solid foundation in this necessary language!"

"We have been so impressed by how much our son has already learned in your class. Having taken foreign language classes in high school and college, I know that I was never as proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding as she is now at this early point in your Spanish class."

My language-learning philosophy
Learning Spanish should be fun, interactive, practical, and messy! As second-language-learners, it's totally normal (and expected) to make mistakes. When we learn another language, if we aren't making any mistakes, it simply means we aren't speaking enough! I encourage students in my class to speak up and be brave. More often than not, they get their point across even if their grammar isn't perfect. We aim for knowledge of correct grammar but, most importantly, the ability to communicate in the real world.
